What’s New
REGISTER NOW;
We're keeping it at $695 for an individual to register for two full days of intensive classes -- this is less than half regular training costs. Also note: There is a $50 discount per registrant for groups of three or more (just sign up in one registration form and the discount will be taken when you check out). We want to keep it easy considering the current economic restrictions many companies are experiencing so our 'EARLY BIRD SPECIAL' is now the set price for the Carlson User Conference — hope to see you there!
Dress Code: If anyone is wondering about the dress code for the receptions and dinners, the answer is, there is none. The idea is for those attending to be comfortable -- casual and/or business casual attire will be appropriate for all meals, including the banquet.
Activities in Lexington: No matter what your interests, there's lots to do in Lexington... Here's a fun list of 70 things to do for free in Lexington. Also, check out this list of Top Tens for the area for information about horse farm tours, the Bourbon Trail, historic homes (including the childhood home of Mary Todd Lincoln), shopping and more.
To help those plan activities in the area if they are interested, representatives of the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau will be on hand at registration from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, and from from 7-11 a.m. on Monday, April 6. They will have brochures and be able to answer any questions you might have.
ESRI's Brent Jones joined by Juniper's Rob Campbell and (NEW!) Dewberry's David Palumbo as speakers at Carlson User Conference
Learn more about how ESRI and Carlson are working together to advance surveyors’ capabilities when Brent Jones, PE, PLS, the Survey, Cadastre, and Engineering Industry Manager for ESRI, gives a keynote address at the Monday night banquet. Rob Campbell, president and CEO of Juniper Systems Inc., will also be addressing the group,
discussing one of the most important decisions companies have to make: choosing the right tools to effectively get the job done.
Utilizing his more than 15 years experience overseeing the worldwide strategic industry planning, business development, and marketing activities for ESRI, Jones will address “Why GIS Needs Surveyors.” Campbell will discuss what goes into the design and manufacture of a Juniper Systems product, and point out the especially superior attributes of the ruggedized Carlson Surveyor and Surveyor+.
(NEW!) David Palumbo of Dewberry will be presenting a case study on how the 2000-person professional services firm with more than 40 locations in 18 states recently chose the Carlson Civil Suite for its site-civil engineering needs. He will show how Dewberry’s site-civil market segment group embarked on a strategic initiative to unify and modernize site-civil work flow across two dozen offices and how Carlson Civil Suite was selected over two competing solutions "as best aligning with Dewberry’s desired work flow and site-civil technical specifications.”
