Customizable Laser Technology for Your Specific Needs
Carlson’s Integrable Laser Module (ILM) is an OEM laser module designed to be integrated into third party products requiring raw distance measurement. ILM modules may be configured to output distance measurements, speed, or a customizable digital trigger. The ruggedized nature of the ILM makes the module capable of being integrated in products used in demanding industries such as transport, law enforcement, mining, quarrying, military, and drones.
Designed for stand-alone operation or for system integration
All ILM units run the same firmware and the setup of each ILM can be configured using the ILM Configuration Tool. This software allows you to customize firing rates, filters, averaging, speed measurements, triggers, and output formats.
Available ILM variants

- Rangefinder mode (returning ranges at a rate of 1-1000 per second)
- Trigger mode (send a trigger signal to external devices when the range to the target meets user-defined criteria)
- Speed computation (measure the speed of a vehicle moving directly towards or away from the laser)
- Output Formats
